Bohol Students Plant Trees on World Environment Day

Beneficiaries of the Government Internship Program (GIP) through the Office of the Congressman of the First District of Bohol, Cong. Edgar Chatto, participated in the tree-planting activity which was held in Ilijan Sur, Tubigon, Bohol.

Conducted on the same day in celebration of the World Environment Day, the tree planting activity was held in a lot owned by the Local Government Unit of Tubigon.

Mayor William R. Jao organized the said activity to encourage awareness of Tubignon youth for the protection of the environment.

Planting trees mitigate the harsh effects of climate change in the planet.

Chatto’s office had enjoined its GIP beneficiaries to engage in tree planting activities to support Climate Change mitigation.
