Talibon, Bohol – The Talibon Polytechnic College (TPC) announced that it will offer the Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCRIM) program starting in the academic year 2024-2025. This was confirmed by Mayor Janette Garcia in a Facebook post on March 9, 2024.
The BSCRIM program is a four-year degree course that focuses on the study of crime, criminal behavior, and the justice system. It prepares students for careers in law enforcement, security administration, crime detection, prevention, and correctional administration.
Mayor Garcia expressed her gratitude to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for granting the authority to operate the BSCRIM program. She also congratulated TPC for achieving this milestone and for providing quality education to the Talibongnons.
TPC is a local college established by the municipal government of Talibon in 2017. It currently offers five degree programs: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and Bachelor of Arts in English Language.
TPC has also been granted the Certificate of Eligibility to avail of the benefits of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, which provides free tuition and other school fees to students enrolled in state universities and colleges, local universities and colleges, and CHED-recognized technical-vocational institutions.
