Following the footsteps of her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, who visits the fallen soldiers and policemen, Vice-President Sara Duterte visited Bohol last night and paid her respects to the remains of PCpl. Gilbert Amper Jr. in Calape, Bohol.
This was confirmed by Margaux “Goldie” Herrera, daughter of Calape Mayor Julius Herrera, who was one of the people who welcomed VP Sarah Duterte.
VP Sara Duterte expressed her sympathy to the family of PCpl. Amper, who sacrificed his life in a clash with the NPA after serving a warrant of arrest against Domingo Compoc, and also gave assistance to the bereaved family.
The burial of PCpl. Gilbert Amper is scheduled today in Calape, Bohol, where it is known that a mass will be held at 12 noon and afterwards he will be brought to the Calape cemetery.
