P4.3M Worth of Suspected Shabu Seized in Bohol Buy-Bust Operations

Authorities seized P4.3 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested nine suspects, including a woman, in a series of buy-bust operations in Bohol province starting Friday, Sept. 20, 2024.

In one operation, P2.1 million worth of shabu was confiscated from Dustin, a tattoo artist, and his companion Lord Rizali in a buy-bust in Cabawan, Tagbilaran City. The two are residents of Dao and Cogon in the city.

Another operation in the same area led to the arrest of Mark Jayson, a construction worker from Totolan, Dauis, who yielded P1.7 million worth of shabu.

In Ubay, authorities arrested laborer Renante, a local resident, and construction worker Juniel from Buenos Aires, Carmen, and seized P347,000 worth of shabu from them.

A buy-bust operation and raid on a suspected drug den in Totolan, Dauis resulted in the arrest of Vanessa, a woman, and her companions Arnold, a fisherman, and another fisherman. Authorities seized P68,000 worth of shabu and paraphernalia from them.

In Panglao, authorities arrested Alexter Kenneth, a resort van driver from Biking, Dauis, and seized P10,000 worth of shabu from him in a buy-bust operation.

Other operations also resulted in the arrest of a tricycle driver and a chainsaw operator in Talibon and Lila, respectively, although smaller amounts of shabu were seized.

The operations were conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP). (with reports from Ven C. Arigo)
