Eastern Communications to Launch High-Speed Internet Services in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines – Eastern Communications, a leading telecommunications company in the Philippines, announced on Friday its plans to expand services to Bohol province, marking a significant step in its nationwide expansion strategy.

The company will host a launch event called “Via Eastern Bohol” on July 23, 2024, at the Metrocentre Hotel in Tagbilaran City.

The event will introduce Eastern Fiber 1, a business-grade shared internet service, and Internet Direct Service (IDS), a premium dedicated internet product, along with other ICT solutions tailored for local enterprises.

Eastern Communications aims to support Bohol’s growing IT-BPO and tourism sectors by providing reliable, high-speed internet and comprehensive digital tools.

The expansion is expected to have a transformative impact on local businesses and contribute to the region’s economic growth.

The launch event will bring together key stakeholders, including representatives from local government and business communities, to discuss the potential benefits of improved connectivity for the province.

Eastern Communications’ move into Bohol is part of a broader nationwide expansion plan, as the company seeks to extend its reach beyond its traditional strongholds.

The event is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM local time, with registration opening at that hour.
