TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – A 20-year-old male suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation that yielded about 1.3 million pesos worth of shabu in Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City on Saturday night.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) identified the suspect as Jacob Ebojo, a resident of Rizal Street, Barangay Cogon. He was considered as a high-value target by the authorities.
According to PDEU, they conducted the operation around 11:30 p.m. after receiving information that Ebojo was selling illegal drugs in the area.
They were able to buy 50 grams of shabu from him for 340,000 pesos. During the arrest, they recovered another 150 grams of shabu from Ebojo’s possession.
The total weight of the seized shabu was 200 grams, which has a street value of 1,360,000 pesos based on the Standard Drug Price.
Ebojo is now detained at the PDEU lock-up cell and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
