Alburquerque, Bohol: Governor Aris Aumentado, leading the Provincial Government of Bohol, administered the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected officials of the Alburquerque Employees Association (AEA) on December 22, 2023.
The AEA is composed of municipal employees who work in various departments and offices of the local government unit of Alburquerque. The association aims to promote the welfare and interests of its members, as well as to foster cooperation and camaraderie among them.
The newly-elected officials of the AEA are:
- President: Rodelio Bongcales
- Vice President: Maricel Sumampong
- Secretary: Jennylyn Dacalos
- Treasurer: Reneboy Cabahug
- Auditor: Lorena Lariosa
- Business Manager: Romeo Balaba
- Public Relations Officer: Jocelyn Bantilan
- Board of Directors: Ricardo Abadilla, Marlon Bantugan, Jovito Cajes, Editha Ceniza, and Nilda Dano
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Alburquerque Municipal Hall, with Mayor Don Ritchie Buates, Vice Mayor Dagohoy Samar, and other municipal officials and employees in attendance.
In his speech, Gov. Aumentado congratulated the new AEA officials and expressed his support for the association’s initiatives and programs. He also urged the employees to always work and unite to speed up the development and ensure the progress of the municipality.
“As public servants, we have a duty to serve our constituents with integrity, efficiency, and professionalism. We also have a responsibility to work together as a team, to support each other, and to share our best practices and innovations. I hope that the AEA will continue to be a platform for collaboration and empowerment among the municipal employees of Alburquerque,” Gov. Aumentado said.
He also highlighted the importance of empowering local governance through an efficient and effective human workforce, as anchored in the Strategic Change Agenda (SCA) of the Provincial Government of Bohol. The SCA is a comprehensive and integrated development plan that aims to transform Bohol into a model province of inclusive and sustainable development.
“The SCA is not only a vision, but also a roadmap and a challenge for all of us in the provincial government. It requires us to align our policies, programs, and projects with the needs and aspirations of our people. It also demands us to improve our systems, processes, and capacities to deliver quality services and outcomes. The AEA is a vital partner in achieving the SCA, and I commend you for your contributions and commitment to our common goals,” Gov. Aumentado said.
The governor also thanked the outgoing AEA officials for their service and leadership, and wished them well in their future endeavors.
The ceremony was followed by a simple luncheon and fellowship among the AEA members and guests.
