Tagbilaran City Voting Population Surpasses 70,000 Mark

The number of eligible voters in Tagbilaran City has reached a record high of over 70,000, according to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).

Rocco Lamanilao, Tagbilaran election supervisor, revealed the figure in a report following the conclusion of voter registration in September 2024.

The Election Registration Board, which convened on October 14, 2024, certified that the city’s voting population has reached 74,805, Lamanilao said.

The COMELEC official noted that the final tally of voters in Bohol will be announced next month, as some Bohol towns are still finalizing their numbers.

In the meantime, precinct clustering is underway, particularly in towns that started the process on October 21, 2024. The activity is being carried out at the COMELEC Bohol office.

The surge in voter registration is seen as a crucial flashpoint ahead of the 2025 elections, with Tagbilaran City’s growing population expected to play a thrilling role in shaping the outcome of the elections.
