6 Hospitalized with Dengue Fever in Bohol

Six people have been hospitalized with dengue fever in Bohol, according to reports from the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center (GCGMMC).

The victims, who range in age from 6 to 65, are from various barangays in the province, including Bacong in Anda, Biking in Dauis, Dao in Tagbilaran City, San Roque in Maribojoc, Saint Joseph Village in Dampas, Tagbilaran City, and Cambague in Sevilla.

According to reports, the patients experienced symptoms such as recurring fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, and abdominal pain, prompting their families to seek medical attention.

Upon examination by doctors, the patients were found to have low platelet counts, which confirmed the diagnosis of dengue fever.

The patients are currently undergoing treatment and are being closely monitored by medical staff.
