Philippine police have arrested a 27-year-old woman in a drug sting operation in Jagna, Bohol.
Maria Rollen Abacahin, a resident of barangay Canjulao, was taken into custody on September 15, 2024, after a poseur buyer allegedly purchased 0.24 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine) from her for P500 pesos.
The Municipal Drug Enforcement Team of Jagna launched the operation after receiving information about Abacahin’s alleged involvement in the sale of illegal drugs.
Upon inspection, police seized several packets containing suspected shabu with a total value of P1,600 pesos.
Abacahin is now facing charges of violating the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and is currently in police custody.
The arrest is part of the Philippine government’s ongoing efforts to crack down on the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in the country.
