Missing lending collector arrested in drug buy-bust in Tubigon

TUBIGON, Bohol — A lending collector who was reported missing on Nov. 5, 2024, has been found, but not in the circumstances his family had hoped for.

Dwight Denard Patayan, a resident of Barangay Sta. Cruz, Dagohoy town, was arrested on Nov. 6, 2024, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Macaas, Tubigon, according to police reports.

Patayan, who was allegedly involved in drug trading in Calape and Tubigon, was taken into custody after police assets provided information about his activities.

The suspect’s motorcycle was found abandoned in Calape, reports said.

Patayan’s arrest brings a mix of relief and concern for his family, who had been searching for him after he was reported missing.

However, the circumstances of his arrest have added a new layer of complexity to the situation.

Charges are expected to be filed against Patayan, who is currently in custody.
