Getafe Mayor Caryboy Camacho on Wednesday confirmed that his town has received over P6 million pesos in funds and financial aid from the provincial government.
Camacho expressed gratitude for the assistance, saying it would greatly benefit the northern town.
The aid package includes royalties for barangays that host sand and gravel extraction, as well as funding for various projects in the town, including the construction of a multi-purpose building, docking facilities, and improvements to selected public schools.
The provincial government’s support is seen as a boost to Getafe’s development efforts, with the funds expected to be used to support key infrastructure and community projects.
No further details were available on the specific allocation of the funds or the timeline for the projects.
