A notorious lending collector who had gone missing was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Tubigon, police said.
Dwight Denard Patayan, 34, a resident of Barangay Sta Cruz in Dagohoy town, was identified as the suspect, according to Police Major Neon Francis Alvarez, chief of the Tubigon Police.
The arrest was made during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Macaas, Tubigon, at around 11:00 am on November 6, 2024, Alvarez said.
"Yes, sir, we confirm that we arrested him this morning in a buy-bust operation in Macaas, Tubigon. He was alone and did not resist arrest," Alvarez said.
According to Alvarez, Patayan had been hiding in Calape and Tubigon and was known to be evasive, but was finally caught and is now detained at the Tubigon Police station.
