Loctob Water has dismissed a complaint filed by the local government unit (LGU) of Loboc against it, calling the move "harassment".
The water company, an affiliate of Richli Water, also accused the LGU of failing to comply with ease of doing business regulations and not being business-friendly.
Loctob Water claimed it had obtained the necessary permits after applying in January 2024, which were released in April 2024.
The company alleged that the Mayor of Loboc had requested an Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) for the piping, despite Loctob Water already possessing an ECC and digging permit issued by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
The LGU had accused Loctob Water of committing several violations, including a 20-meter easement infringement.
Loctob Water denied the allegations, stating that its water treatment plant is located 55 meters from the Loboc River, and that other potential violations had been addressed.
