PHILIPPINE POLICE NAB ‘TIKI’ AFTER INITIAL ESCAPE

A notorious suspect known as "Tiki" managed to evade capture during a police raid on his home in Barangay Manga, Tagbilaran City, but was eventually apprehended hours later.

According to Barangay Councilor Marlon Delusa, Michael Vincent Ampog, alias Tiki, was arrested and will face charges after a search warrant was executed by the City Intelligence Unit of the Tagbilaran City Police Station.

Police seized five packets of alleged shabu and a .38 revolver with two rounds of live ammunition from the suspect’s residence.

The raid was carried out after a search warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 49, citing the suspect’s alleged possession of a loose firearm.

Reports indicate that Tiki had sensed the approaching lawmen and quickly plotted his escape, initially evading arrest by fleeing towards a grassy area.

However, police were able to track him down and apprehend him hours later, ending a brief but intense manhunt.
