Philippine Agriculturist Act Seen as ‘Life-Changer’ for Country’s Agricultural Sector

Bohol Third District Rep. Alexie Besas Tutor has hailed the proposed Philippine Agriculturist Act as a "life-changer" for the country’s agricultural sector during the 2nd Philippine Association of Agriculturists (PAA) Central Visayas Regional Convention held recently in Tagbilaran City.

Addressing 350 agriculturists from across the nation at Reyna’s Haven, Tutor reaffirmed her commitment to support the welfare of Filipino agriculturists through House Bill 9725, also known as the Philippine Agriculturist Act, which she authored as House Chairperson on Civil Service and Professional Regulation.

Tutor urged the PAA members to seek the support of Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri for the passage of the bill in the Senate, following its approval in the House of Representatives.

The convention served as a platform for national and regional officials to exchange ideas, share best practices, and discuss new strategies to further professionalize the country’s agricultural sector.
