Tubigon Town Leaders Rally Behind Cong. Chatto

A group of top political leaders in Tubigon has expressed full support for Bohol First District Congressman Edgar M. Chatto, according to a local official.

Lawyer Abeleon Damalerio revealed the development during an interview over DYTR. Damalerio expressed elation over the solid support given by Mayor William Jao and Vice Mayor Rene Villaber for Chatto.

Tubigon, a major port town in the first district, has long been a stronghold for Chatto, who has partnered with town leaders on various projects.

Recently, Chatto facilitated funding for housing relocation for residents affected by rising sea levels, particularly those living in island barangays.

Tubigon is one of 15 towns in the first district and has the potential to become a city due to its strategic location as a major gateway for goods and services from Cebu.

In a separate development, Damalerio thanked former Senator and current Education Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara for providing financial support for the new police provincial headquarters building and officers’ quarters at Camp Dagohoy.

Chatto and Angara have collaborated on numerous projects, including the establishment of the Bohol Island State University’s sports and tourism institute in Balilihan.
