Sikatuna, Bohol Mayor Justiniana Ellorimo and her husband, Jose “Pangay” Ellorimo, have clarified their stance on the upcoming congressional election, pledging their support for Bohol First District Rep. Edgar Chatto’s re-election bid.

The announcement comes after Pangay Ellorimo was spotted at an event in June where congressional aspirant John Geesnell Yap declared his candidacy. 

However, Mayor Ellorimo explained that her husband’s attendance was merely a response to a dinner invitation and not an endorsement of Baba Yap’s bid.

The Ellorimos, who have dominated Sikatuna politics for years, have consistently expressed their loyalty to Chatto. 

Mayor Ellorimo has publicly praised Chatto’s contributions to the town’s progress, citing its growth as a tourist destination and its potential for solar farm development.

The clarification ends speculation about the Ellorimos’ stance on the election, with the couple reaffirming their support for Chatto’s re-election campaign.
