BAGUIO CITY – A mysterious death has shocked the residents of Baguio City, as an unidentified man was found lifeless beside the ongoing construction inside the YCC Sports Complex, Athletic Bowl, Burnham Legarda, Baguio City on Tuesday, February 9, 2024.
According to the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), the incident was reported by a concerned citizen who called the BCPO Police Station 5 around 10:00 AM. The personnel of the station, under the supervision of Police Major Nixon Budikey, Station Commander, immediately responded to the scene and discovered a male cadaver lying on the ground.
The victim, who remains unidentified as of this writing, was described as 5’4” – 5’7” in height, around 40-50 years of age, stout body figure, wearing a red sweatshirt, multicolored jogging pants, black socks, and pink and white color combined clog sandals. He had no visible signs of injury or struggle, and no identification documents or personal belongings were found near him.
The cadaver was brought to Baguio Memorial Chapel located at Naguilian Road, Quirino Highway, Baguio City for proper disposition and autopsy. The BCPO Police Station 5 is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of death and the identity of the victim.
