A suspected drug pusher who is on the high value drug watchlist of the Philippine National Police (PNP) was arrested in a buy bust operation in barangay Cogon on Saturday, January 30.
The suspect was identified as Wilson Israel, alias Bulaw, 28, a food deliverer and resident of barangay Taloto in this city.
He was apprehended by operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 7 (DEG SOU 7) led by Team Leader PMaj. Niko Haman around 11:40 a.m. in Purok 8, Erico Aumentado Street.
According to PMaj. Haman, they recovered from Israel a medium size sachet of shabu that was the subject of the transaction, P500 marked money, and P17,500 worth of boodle money.
They also seized two medium sachets, five small sachets, and a plastic cellophane containing suspected shabu from his possession.
The confiscated shabu weighed approximately 16 grams and had a street value of P108,000, Haman said.
Israel is now detained at the Tagbilaran City PNP jail while the seized evidence is submitted to the Bohol Forensics Unit based in Camp Dagohoy for examination and custody.
He will face charges of violation of section 5 (selling of illegal drugs) and section 11 (possession of illegal drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
