Bohol Travel and Tour Operators Get New Officers, Support from Gov. Aumentado

The Bohol Alliance of Travel and Tour Operators (BATTOP), a newly formed organization of tourism stakeholders in the province, held its induction of officers on December 20, 2023, at the Kawayan Hall, Bluewater, Panglao.

The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), led by Gov. Aris Aumentado, officiated the ceremony and expressed his full support to the group and the tourism industry as a whole.

Gov. Aumentado said that he is committed to promoting Bohol’s sustainable tourism, especially in the wake of the pandemic that severely affected the sector.

He assured the BATTOP members that he will protect the rights of the foreign and local tourists visiting the UNESCO Global Geopark Island province.

He urged the BATTOP officers and members to work together and coordinate with the PGBh and other agencies to ensure the safety and quality of the tourism services and products in Bohol.

BATTOP is composed of travel and tour operators, hotel and resort owners, transport service providers, and other tourism-related businesses in Bohol.

The group aims to foster cooperation and collaboration among its members and to advocate for the welfare and interests of the tourism industry in the province.

The induction of officers was attended by representatives from the Department of Tourism, the Philippine National Police, the Bohol Tourism Office, and the Panglao Tourism Council.
