Fire Destroys Workers’ Rooms at Hotel in Dauis

A fire broke out at a hotel compound in Songculan, Dauis, Bohol, on Christmas Day, destroying seven rooms used by workers.

The fire department said the fire started at around 4 p.m. on December 25, at the Crown Regency hotel, where construction work was ongoing.

The fire was confined to the bunkhouse of the hotel, where the workers stayed. No one was injured in the incident, but the workers lost their belongings in the fire.

The fire department said the fire was quickly put out, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the hotel compound.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities suspect it may have been triggered by faulty electrical wiring or a lit candle.
