DAUIS, Bohol – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested and shabu worth over 2 million pesos was seized in a buy bust operation conducted by the Dauis Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) on Monday, October 16, 2023.
The first suspect was identified as Ronnie Borinaga, 21 years old, single, a graduate of Alternative Learning System (ALS) and a native of Purok 5, Barangay Totolan, Dauis. He was wearing a violet sando when he was apprehended by the operatives. According to the DDEU, they recovered from his possession 255 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of Php1,734,000.00.
The second suspect was identified as Edwin Lamo, 23 years old, single and also a native of Purok 4, Barangay Totolan, Dauis. He was wearing a t-shirt when he was nabbed by the authorities. The DDEU said they seized from his possession 55 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of Php374,000.00.
The two suspects are now under the custody of the DDEU and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. DDEU also said they are conducting further investigation to trace the source and distribution network of the illegal drugs.
