Panglao Police authorities are appealing to the public for any information regarding a hit and run incident that left two people dead and one injured on October 4, 2023.
The incident occurred at 4:45 am near the Lourdes National High School, where a red Toyota Hilux allegedly struck two multicabs and a student of the school.
The student, who suffered severe injuries to his feet, was rushed to the hospital where he had to undergo an amputation of two toes. The drivers of the multicabs were pronounced dead at the scene.
The police have recovered some broken parts of the vehicle that fled the scene, which they believe belong to a red Toyota Hilux.
They are urging the driver of the vehicle to surrender to the authorities and face the charges against him.
They are also asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information about the vehicle or its whereabouts to contact their station or call their hotline at 09985986431.
The police also warned the car repair shop owners to be vigilant and report any suspicious vehicles that may match the description of the suspect vehicle.
They said that helping the police in solving this case is a civic duty and a moral obligation, as anyone could be a victim of such a reckless act in the future. They thanked the public for their cooperation and support.
