The partnership was announced by Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap on her Facebook page on September 1, 2023. She said that the partnership is part of the city’s efforts to strengthen its private sector partnerships and to create a more inclusive and equitable community.

Under the partnership, L’Oréal Philippines will provide training to women and LGBTQ+ members of the Tagbilaran GLAM Team on beauty and personal care.

The company will also repaint three daycare centers in the city: the City East Day Care Center, the Magsaysay Day Care Center, and the Tubod Peñaflor Day Care Center.

“We are committed to creating a more beautiful world for everyone,” said Yannick Raynaud, Country Managing Director of L’Oréal Philippines. “This partnership with Tagbilaran City is a way for us to support the empowerment of women and members of the LGBTQ+ community.”
