TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – Mayor Jane Censoria Cajes-Yap of Tagbilaran City was among the selected personalities who modeled for the Isang Pilipinas Fashion Show, a prestigious event hosted by the Malacañang Palace last week.
The fashion show featured the 65-piece collection of renowned Filipino designer Michael Leyva, who used woven fabrics from different parts of the country to create modern Filipiniana gowns.
The event was attended by high-ranking government officials, celebrities, and other VIPs.
Mayor Yap expressed her gratitude to Leyva and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, who gave her the opportunity to be a part of the show.
She said that being chosen among numerous leaders in the country was truly humbling and that she was honored to represent Tagbilaran City and Bohol in the national stage.
“Once again, thank you for selecting me to be a part of the Isang Pilipinas Fashion Show. This opportunity means the world to me, and I will cherish it as a significant milestone in my life. Daghan kaayong SALAMAT,” Mayor Yap wrote on her official Facebook page.
Mayor Yap also shared some photos of her fellow Filipina models wearing a stunning gown with intricate embroidery and beadwork.
She walked the runway with confidence and grace, earning praises from netizens and fellow Boholanos.
The Isang Pilipinas Fashion Show was one of the newly opened events at the Goldenberg Mansion, one of the heritage sites within the Malacañang Palace complex.
The mansion serves as a venue for special events and exhibits that showcase the culture and history of the Philippines.
