Bohol’s Dalogdog Wins WBF Asia Pacific Flyweight Belt

Tagbilaran City, Bohol – Angilou Dalogdog of PMI Boxing Stable won the WBF Asia Pacific flyweight title on Saturday night, defeating Longyi Hu of China by split decision.

The fight, which was the main event of Kumong Bol-Anon 11, was a close one throughout. Dalogdog, who is from Tagbilaran City, started strong and was able to land some good punches in the early rounds. However, Hu, who is the current WBO Chinese flyweight champion, came on strong in the middle rounds and took the lead on the judges’ scorecards.

In the final round, Dalogdog came out swinging and was able to land some big punches that hurt Hu. The Chinese boxer was able to survive the round, but he was clearly exhausted.

The judges scored the fight 96-94, 95-95, and 97-93 in favor of Dalogdog.

This is a huge win for Dalogdog and for Philippine boxing. It is a sign that Philippine boxing is on the rise and that we can expect to see more Filipino champions in the future.

With the win, Dalogdog improves to 8-0 with 2 knockouts. He is now the new WBF Asia Pacific flyweight champion.

Hu falls to 6-2 with 2 knockouts.

Dalogdog’s victory is a major upset. Hu was the more experienced boxer and was the clear favorite coming into the fight. However, Dalogdog showed that he has the skills and the heart to be a champion.
