Loay, Bohol Has New Town Councilor

By Ven Rebo Arigo

Bohol Governor Arthur Yap swore in the child of the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) head in Bohol as new councilor of Loay at the Capitol today.

John Paul Maghuyop Romero, son of PCA Provincial Manager Emil Romero, has, thus, officially filled the Sangguniang Bayan seat permanently left vacant by the death of his aunt, the late Kag. Manuelita Romero.

John Paul Maghuyop Romero replaced the late Loay kagawad Manuelita Romero.

Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos, Board Member Jescelo Adiong, who is the provincial federation president of the Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL), and Romero’s father witnessed the oath-taking rite.

Adiong and the Romeros are townmates.

Relampagos’ wife happens to be a Loaynon and sister of the PCL president.

Loay belongs to the Third District where Yap was the full three-term congressman before becoming governor.
